Nicole write stories because she love to consume them in all their forms. Her writing expands over many genres and types, but always connected by her passion for romance and humor. Because her writing fits into many categories, she will be branching out into pen names to keep them separate.
When not writing, Nicole can be found tending to a spirited toddler where her main duties are preparing food when her daughter isn't hungry anymore and pretending to be trucks. A gamer by nature, she can often be found playing one of the many in her collection with anyone willing.

Stories are her life: reading, watching, or creating. With characters being the blood of every story, her favorite pastime is crafting new favorites. (Maybe with a dash of tragic backstory and a hint of self projection.)
When writing Fantasy, Solstice Locke's works are character driven action well seasoned with romantic subplots. Do they hate each other at first? All the better when they are forced to save the world together. And magic. Magic is always fun. There are good times, adventure, and a lot of snark woven into rich worlds. But above all, these stories are meant to bring joy and entertainment to her readers. They say to write what you would want to read and she hopes there are others who want to read it too. Adventures and heroics, but always sprinkled with longing gazes and stolen kisses.
Her writing encompasses all different kinds of characters and people, meant to be a truer representation of the world we live in. Though she is the first to admit she was blessed with many privileges and isn't always a part of the groups included in her work, she doesn't want to be their voice but more of a means to make diversity more mainstream and standard. All attempts at inclusivity are done humbly and with the knowledge that she may not always get it right, but is always willing to learn and grown to do better next time.
For fun she likes to binge shows of many genres, play board games, read, and spend time with her family. She enjoys sci-fi and fantasy as well as historical dramas. She has a board game collection with over 150 games and counting. It's always fun getting comfy cozy with her daughter and introducing classics from the 90's or forcing everyone to pretend they enjoy board games as much as she does.
Mostly, she writes because she can't keep these stories and characters and worlds to herself. It makes her happy to share them, hoping that someone might find comfort, solace, enjoyment, happiness in them the same way she does with book. Please enjoy these adventures with her.
